Project Description: The Phantom
Island Research Group is a group operating virtually and nomadically
within the alt.SPACE Network of Artist Research Groups. Although the
group organizes regular physical meetings in different locations, most
activities take place within the virtual space that is the Internet
using forums, video-conferencing tools and other web-based resources.
There are several different strands of interests in the group ranging
from collaborative writing projects to forum based reading groups,
including an investment in collaboratively exploring notions of the
‘revisiting’ of existing and recorded material as a form of critical
and reflective practice. News: - Archives: B U N K E R - a performance /
